Cold Air Intake VS Short Ram which ones Better?
If your car is lagging in throttle response and you what a cool sound effect while accelerating then you want to get a better intake. I just watched a video on youtube about a guy driving his Evo and you can hear the sound of the turbo “Spooling” and the BOV hissing. With the right intake you should hear a cool ssound. So What’s the difference between a cold air intake and a short ram intake?

Cold air intakes are placed really low on the care near the fender area to got airf from under the car.(outside of the engine bay), which is denser and therefore creates more power. The actual pipe is a quite a bit longer then a short ram (hence the name “short ram”) which means that it will take a while for you to see much power gains till you get well in the mid to higher RPM’s. A Short Ram is inside the in engine bay. The Short ram creates power, and really improves response time, better then a Cold air intake. This is more of a quick low RPM power boost. With the air you get from a Short Ram, your not getting as much of a dense air like the Cold Air Intake to create those more powerful combustion at higher RPM.
